WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give you boost in specific statistics. Each upgrade boosts the level of an Best item upgrader by 3. Each upgrade also boosts an unspecified substat.

The more modernized gear generally has a higher trade value as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or very high stat variance (like Eth titan weapons). Upgrades are not as useful for those with higher variance because of the requirement to roll an exact version.

Recycle Points

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create the enchantments.

The upgrader can be found in all major cities and can be accessed anytime to upgrade your gear. It is recommended to visit the upgrader once every few weeks, to ensure that your equipment is up-to-date.

The cost of upgrading will vary based on the current level of the equipment being upgraded but they will always be cheaper than buying new gear from other sources. For instance, upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points while purchasing the same item from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade weapons, armor, tools and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased from NPCs of item upgraders for various currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be applied to any weapon, tool or armor. button, which displays a preview of the Item level Upgrade at the next upgrade level when the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrading is based on the item upgrader mod slot and the current item level and the weapon's price is higher than bracers or gloves, for example. Each step costs 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with some upgrades having a discount to lower the cost of the Flightstones or crests that are used. After an item has been upgraded to a certain amount and is degraded, it can be sold and returned to the upgrader for a lower amount of both currency types.

A lot of locations offer upgraders for items in addition to the main island and a few outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade coupon as well as the possibility of getting an entirely new recipe. The upgrade discount increases according to the number of items being upgraded. It is also possible to be boosted by requiring players to complete specific achievements or quests.

In contrast to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II there is no upgrader for items available in the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead the NPCs that are available to help with upgrades require several methods that are both an improvement as well as a disadvantage.

In Season 3 the upgrade item system has been modified a bit, and several new features added. After the player has upgraded to a certain level of item for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same item level will cost less. This applies even if those items are from an entirely different set of equipment.

The discount applies to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is also reduced and is not available until players reach certain milestones in their achievements.

Crests

Players have several options for upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are an item level upgrade that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specific and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are a key element of the Dragonflight gear progression system introduced in 10.1 and are available in 4 ranks.

The first thing to remember is that the crests can only be purchased for equipment with a certain rank. Each rank comes with a different upgrade path. The simplest and simplest upgrade process costs just 15 crests while the more complex one requires as many as 20 crests depending on the type of equipment being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through finishing tasks at the appropriate level. This could be done by engaging in outdoor activities or taking on dungeons and raids of any difficulty to earn lower-level gear or Mythic+ raid bosses or dungeons with heroic difficulty for endgame gear. Crests can be exchanged at an upgrader NPC, like Cuzolth in Dornogal or Vaskarn in Valdrakken, for the appropriate upgrade item routes and steps.

Using these new currencies isn't too difficult however, the system will introduce a few modifications to the upgrade process. Once a piece of gear has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it no longer requires Flightstones. This change allows players to upgrade their gear to the highest possible ilvl on all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

It's also important to use crests wisely, as they are only used for one purpose. It is recommended to put your Whelpling-rank Crests on the highest-quality gear you can find and save Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is particularly relevant for items like trinkets and rings that fill several slots. The discount for the entire account will only apply when all the slots on the character are filled with high-quality gear.
