World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like Crit chance and damage from PvE.

If the template for upgrading a weapon is %, it will be able to gain 3percent of its previous attack damage every time it is upgraded.

Item upgrading costs crests and the item's current level. The cost rises with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, weapons and armor to give them a boost in stats or to add an additional effect. These can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors trading or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be placed in equipment that has a slot to accommodate them; the item must have been at the very least upgraded to blue level in order for the component to be applied. Unlike other mods, upgrade components can only be used one time; they cannot be applied multiple times or replaced with upgrades. Infusions and Enrichments are a type of upgrade component that can be used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascending equipment, as in some items that aren't ascended. Enrichments and Infusions can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A suffix or prefix can be added to an upgrade, which alters the name of the item it is applied to (for example, 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades can increase the Mark Level or Rarity of an item level upgrade, which lets players to create stronger versions using less Upgrade crystals than they require to achieve the same level with normal methods.

A boost upgrade is a way to alter the defense or attack attributes of a weapon or armor. These upgrades are available to be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed Mechanic. They can be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear, or by buying them in the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals.

Each upgrade increases the probability that a better-quality version of the item will be available during the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to keep upgrading their gear even if they're not sure of how much it will increase after a future reset.

The process of upgrading an item could be costly, and it is possible that the item will be obsolete or even break if the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed when an upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to minimize or eliminate the possibility of failure. Some upgrades also give a bonus if they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs boost the power of all nodes in their radius as well as existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded a variety of ways, and we suggest upgrading them to 15 levels as soon as possible.

You will often find in the endgame that putting Glyphs is the Best item upgrade way to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and offer an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes much faster.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced, but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and re-placed without restriction. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

Each Glyph has a specific range of values it can improve a statistic by. The value is displayed when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain unlimited-use gathering tools, and through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt will drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs that you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have the desired Glyphs You will have to attach them to your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that can boost the stats of a specific set of nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph, this will either be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Glyphs boost all nodes that are connected to them, therefore it is Best item upgrade to place Glyphs in strategic locations on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. Druids, for instance should position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might be able to place them near their critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The item upgrading system lets players increase the performance of certain items by placing upgraded components into them. This is referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item is assigned a level which determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum of 385. Each level requires a different number of components, and the upgrade costs increase as the item is leveled up.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or bought from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe completed will result in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to level up the item. Once enough points are earned, the upgrade can be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When a player upgrades an item, the base item will be replaced with an item that is new. The same armor can be transformed into a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item will also have a unique bonus. This can be a disadvantage because it can make the item more expensive if you do not need it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, provided that the player has enough tokens to be able to do this. This causes the item to be exchanged for a brand new one, which will come with the level 1 base, and a completely different set of bonus bonuses. This is useful for certain items, however it shouldn't be performed frequently, since it can waste lots of resources.

Certain upgrades can boost their value, allowing players to customize their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it provides buffs when the player repeatedly enters or exits the water. The item can be upgraded several times by increasing the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item is very useful in PvP. A well-rolled version could be worth as much as 50x the value of its non-upgraded counterpart.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to boost the level of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by presenting the appropriate currency and items to an NPC who upgrades items. The upgrade of armor set pieces will also boost the defense base of the piece, whereas upgrading weapon items will increase the base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.

All items can be upgraded a maximum of five times, with the exception of hero gear that can be upgraded up to eight times. Every time you upgrade an item it has a chance to fail--the rate of failure increases as you go beyond the maximum number of upgrades. Failures can result in the item reverting to its initial state, requiring the player to spend more materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.

If an item is not upgraded the experience bar in its growth bar will be reset to zero. Additionally the item will lose any bonus it earned such as crit chance, attack damage, and all other effects that are associated with that effect (for instance, an increase in heal over time or reload speed). However, the player may still continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it receives a crit chance boost it will be applied before any attack damage increases. Slots is a brand-new attribute that was added to the definitions of items. The value is calculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item are dependent on its rarity score and the number of upgrade slots. The upgrade cost for non-premium items is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For instance, a standard equipment item could have five upgrades with a cost of 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Opportunity. Hero quality items are less expensive per upgrade.

Premium items may require different upgrades than standard gear. For example they may require less sowels, but they will require more minerals and orons. However, players will have to visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade costs listed above, each equipment upgrade requires an individual amount of ingredients for upgrading.
