10 Things That Your Family Taught You About Item Upgrader
World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
Item upgrades are a way to increase the stats of an item. Based on the type of upgrade, it may increase an item upgrader mod's Rarity or Mark Level and boost additional stats.
Upgrades to equipment in The War Within requires a set number of Flightstones and Crests, and each item comes with an upgrade track. Each upgrade increases the price of the next item by a specified amount.
Item Level
The value of an item's basic stats increases when it is upgraded. The value is the sum of all the leveled up perks (attack magic attack, attack defense). Upgrades can be costly, depending on the person you hire and what you decide to do. This is because of how many perks need to be replaced to allow the item to get upgraded.
It is also used to enforce gating requirements when queueing for raids, dungeons and scenarios. It can also be used to limit the amount of PvP gear players can wear as PvP is restricted at lower levels. The average level of an item can be found on the character sheet.
When deciding whether to buy or sell equipment players can evaluate the item level. It's a good indicator of an item's quality and how much damage it's able to deal. Comparing items in the inventory of a seller is possible using the item level.
The level of the item can be seen by pressing the ALT key on PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. This will display the item's full description, including the ilvl. You can also find it by hovering over an item upgrade and typing /itemlevel in chat.
There are many theories about how the level of an item is determined. One theory states that the item level is calculated by formulas that determine the value of an item's stats actually are. It takes into consideration that different advantages are valued differently and that gems in the sockets boost the value of the item. This could result in an item's ilvl which is calculated and is usually very close to Blizzard's actual level of the item.
This isn't the only factor that affects the ilvl of an item. The degree of the area in which the item dropped can also change its stats. For example, it could increase the item's haste or crit score. Items that drop in higher-level instances will have higher ilvl.
Item Stats
The item's stats can make or break an item for players. The game uses a lot of them in different ways to encourage players to play with a variety of weapons, and prevent one weapon from being "the most effective." The base stats on a weapon are enhanced by the weapon's stat mods, which are themselves boosted by the player's level.
Upgrades to the item add by boosting certain stats on the item. The cost of upgrades is determined by the rarity of the item. For instance, a gray or white item will only be upgraded once, whereas an item with the rare tiers can be upgraded many times with higher prices.
Another method of altering the stats of an item is by affixing it. These are special stat boosts that can be added to an item by the player and come in a variety of shapes and sizes. The affixes can be used to give items additional damage or other special abilities (such as the ability to revive dead or reduce cooling downs) or to differentiate them by adding a name.
All affixes can be currently re-rolled by selecting them in the upgrade menu pressing the green button. This will cost a specific amount in gold and other items. These can be used as upgrade gauges, similar to other methods of rerolling.
In addition to Rerolling affixes and rerolls, players can select which of the available stats they want to keep on an item after it is upgraded. The possible ranges of stats for an item are based on the level of the item upgrade, but all items are guaranteed to have at least 1 stat within the specified range, unless it's a unique item or the result of a God roll from a boss of a raid.
This is another aspect that could be altered by adding an option to upgrade the equipment without rerolling the affixes or deciding which stats to increase. As with the base equipment, this would have to be done per item and the interface for item comparison would not display all the possible stats at once.
Item Luck
The Luck stat for a player adds up to increase the chances of item discoveries and the properties that are spawned from loot drops, and the intensity of the properties. It does not, however directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade item items. It simply gives players a chance to upgrade their gear in earlier waves, and is therefore more beneficial in the initial game run than in later ones, because most players value higher weapon scaling and defenses over damage gains.
In addition to influencing item discovery, Luck also increases the chance of success when upgrading items using the Blacksmith. This isn't to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall chances of upgrading that increase with each level of the item. These can also be enhanced by using anti-materials like a Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.
Weapons, armor, and shields can be made or spawn by using the Luck property, with an initial value of 40. These items can then be enhanced with golden ingots, spined leather, or oak boards (depending on the material of the item) to grant an additional +40 Luck or to increase the Luck of an item up to 140.
Furthermore, certain items, like the Hollow weapon, which is infused with Hollow can be outfitted to increase the damage dealt by any damage-dealing skill by 5%. These items are available in the shop or crafted with the right ingredients.
Item Failure
Upgrades to items can be expensive and not all upgrades will succeed. However, there are some cash shop items that allow players to increase their chance of success or stop themselves from losing an item if the upgrade fails.
When you upgrade an item the success rate is shown in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the likelihood of successfully upgrading the item. This can be increased by using Additional Materials or Special materials. There are limitations on how much the success rates can be improved, and the overall chance of an upgrade failing cannot be greater than 100%..
The performance of an upgrade is also affected by the Luck of that item. Every item has an average success rate of 25%, and every item with Luck increases the chance of success by 5percent.
The item upgrade overlays are rendered above items in the inventory. This could obscure enchantment effects and other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
