10 Things Everyone Hates About Item Upgrading
Path of Exile Item Upgrading
In Path of Exile, item upgrading is one of the most effective ways to upgrade your equipment without relying on big-ticket drops or trade. This article will show you how to upp your items efficiently.
Upgrades to equipment provide a bonus on the item's stats. The bonus increases with upgrade component level and rarity.
Components
Upgrade components make your armour and weapons stronger. You can get them from fighting off enemies, locating them in item spheres, or buying them from karma merchants. They can also be rescued from equipment that contains them, or by utilizing a high-tier salvage kit such as the Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. Contrary to other products upgrade components, upgrade components aren't destroyed when they are removed from an item.
The main purpose of upgrade components is to enable an item to be upgraded but they also serve other functions. They can be stacked to increase the level of an item that can be upgraded or they can be used to enhance the experience gained by upgrading an existing weapon or piece of equipment. They can be made for additional bonuses. For instance, a crafted glyph will boost the chances of upgrading its target, while the boost upgrade can enhance the defense or attack attribute of a weapon or armor.
Selecting an upgrade template from the GUI will allow you to bind it to an item. This will show the upgrade components to which the item can be upgraded. You can also use the workbench for selecting an upgrade template. In either case, the item will be upgraded once enough upgrade components have been gathered.
Each component has a unique experience multiplier. This determines the amount of experience an item will gain when upgraded with that component. Organic components, for instance, have more experience multipliers than mechanical components. You should upgrade organic components first until you reach the next rank in the weapon or equipment, and then move on to mechanical upgrades.
Each item comes with a maximum upgrade number that can be received. The number of upgrades are determined by the rank that can be upgraded and the upgrade type of the upgradeable item. The highest upgrade possible is a weapon of the tier 10. The most common weapon upgrade is a gun with tier 6 and a armor upgrade of tier 5.
Sets
A set is a set of items that share the same bonus. Each item in the set can be upgraded at least once, and the upgrade will increase its guaranteed bonuses. The first time you upgrade an item, its initial stat will be +1. After subsequent upgrades, the primary stats will be boosted even further (for instance +1 for 12+/13+/14+) and each time an item is upgraded one of its stats will increase randomly.
Upgrades can also boost the damage base of a weapon. This could be crucial for certain types of builds. Weapons aren't upgraded to give a higher maximum defence roll than their base. It is a good method to increase the value of some set and unique items, but it's important to remember that they may not be more effective than a high-level raneword in any build.
If you're upgrading an item with bonuses the item can be rerolled a single time and the guarantee will reset to zero. The same power dies are used to roll an item, just as it would be to level it up. However the new item comes with different bonuses. Upgrading can be done at the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko in Central Flarine. To upgrade an item you will need the appropriate amount Minerals and Erons, as well as a power dice of each type. They can be purchased by using Gold at the crafting table or in the Ultra Collection. The NPC will also give a special reward for each completed tier of the upgrade process. This reward can be rerolled a second time and the reroll will be made using the same materials used in the original item.
Rerolling
A player is able to reroll any item acquired in the game if they have enough tokens to do so. When an item level upgrade is rerolled it will be replaced by an equivalent level 1 version from another set. Reroll tokens can be bought at the store for an amount of in-game currency, however they cannot be refunded. The new item will have the same bonuses as the previous one, but the stats will also be different.
In addition to rerolling items players can also change the identification of any item by interacting with an upgrader NPC. This will change the identification from a weapon to an armor, or vice versa. Its base requirements and stats will remain the same. The change is permanent and will affect all characters that have the gear in question.
The player can also upgrade the level of an item level upgrade for any equipment equipped. This is done by interacting with an upgrader NPC and obtaining upgrade components. The cost of upgrading will depend on the upgrade track, item type and the number of crests. Each upgrade will add 5% more damage to weapons.
An upgrade can make it more powerful, but it will also lower its quality. It is therefore essential to find a balance between the two. Certain items might not be worth upgrading, while others will need to be upgraded to maximize their potential. For example an individual player may wish to upgrade a piece breakpoint armor that comes with an interesting modifier (% chance to block or FHR) to see what it can become.
The primary reason people play rerolls in Genshin Impact, or in any gacha-based game, is that they're trying to obtain a particular character or weapon that they aren't able to obtain. Getting these items can be expensive and time-consuming and the RNG gods aren't always willing to play ball. The only choices left are to invest real money or grind lots. Rerolling is extremely popular in Genshin Impact.
Leveling
You can select whether to upgrade the weapon or armor after upgrading an item. However, this feature is absolutely nothing in the current game. I think it was meant to be a way to add value to rare items, but since gear in general drops fairly quickly and is only upgraded one level up it is likely that you will replace the item before it becomes old enough. It's also not worth it to upgrade items with gem sockets as the power of the gem will far outweigh the increase in ilvl with the upgrade.
You will see a small window when you click on the upgrade option for an item. It will display the template for the item, its crest, and the cost of Valorstone to increase the item's level. Armor and weapons will have different costs, with the latter typically being more costly. The upgrade template shows the stats that will be added to the upgraded item and it also lists the current base ilvl.
The cost of the Valorstone and the crest is calculated based on the current Ilvl of the item and the upgrade templates. Additionally, the ilvl of the new upgraded item will be reduced by the upgrade template's lvl decrease percentage. For instance, an upgrade of 8% will reduce the weapon's ilvl by 8 to 8%.
In addition to the increase in ilvl base, the item will also be upgraded in other stats like critical strike damage, PvE damage and dodge, block, and parry rating. The increases are also dependent on the upgrade template.
The amount of damage and defense that the item will receive when leveled up can be observed below the cost and upgrade decrease percentages in the upgrade template window. All weapons and armor apart from practice equipment gain these stats upon leveling up. The market will determine the value of these stats. A weapon or armor with perfect rolls can fetch a much higher price than a non-upp’d version. The same is true for other armor pieces, such as circlets and tiaras.
