Line-up
The album's third, Turn Back, marked a return to the classic sextet arrangement of previous albums. It was a more powerful, consistent effort that had an edge that was stronger than Hydra. The edgier sound of Turn Back reflected the growth of the band. Bobby Kimball's growing proficiency was evident in the vocals of Joseph Williams, who had grown more confident and mature. After touring to promote their album, the band recorded an Amsterdam live show that was released on Eagle Records as a 2-CD set titled Falling In Between.
