The Band Toto Asia

Toto was expanding its production facilities abroad and doing business in France, Germany, Indonesia, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and the People's Republic of China. Dhaniram Toto documented Toto words to ensure that the future generation could understand them. Many words were replaced with foreign ones. For example dui, which was Bengali for verandah, was being used.

Origins

The early history of Toto that began in 1917, mirrored Japan's economic expansion. In the first half of 1917, Toto made products to meet the growing demand for modern, brand new urban housing. To do this, it used the first tunnel kiln in the country to make ceramics in a continuous flow. It also pioneered the use automation to control production, allowing for more efficiency and consistency.

In the latter half of the 1980s, the company began to expand outwards to take advantage of sales and new markets. The company established the Cera Trading Company to import and sell other products from other manufacturers to enhance its own line of sanitary earthenwares and plumbing fittings. This strategy increased sales and expanded the firm's market share in the world.

In the 1990s, Toto had shifted its focus on research and development of water-related household appliances. It also redesigned its system of distribution to better serve customers and increase profit. The company embraced a just-in time approach to supply chain management and 토토사이트 추천 모음 (Arlight-team.ru) used the same methodology for its sales process. Discography

With a name as evocative as Asia one would expect the group to be prog queens and kings however, it's actually a pretty straight forward rock group. The band started out as a group and recorded two albums - 1979's self-titled debut album, and 1980's Armed to the Teeth. The group has a wide musical background, but their biggest success came in 1982 when they released Toto IV.

The album was a major blockbuster but not without its problems. The record companies put Toto under pressure to deliver a hit single or else they would pull them. Toto was able achieve this feat with the help of the smash hit "Africa."

Toto's musical mastery is a result of their prior experience. Before joining the group, the band members worked as session musicians for artists like Boz Scaggs. Steely Dan and Seals and Crofts. Their sonic signature has become the norm for pop music from the 1980s, and has influenced many contemporary artists.

The album begins hard with songs like Running Out of Time or Unknown Soldier that show the band's ability to create great AOR songs that slowly sink into your head. The album also includes some more jazzy, slower tracks such as The Little Things and Chinatown. The album closes with Great Expectations, a song that combines folk with distortion AOR and sounds completely wrong, but actually is incredibly effective.

After Toto IV, the band's fortunes turned to the downside. David Hungate left the band to pursue a solo career and the band was dominated by drummers. In 1984, Bobby Kimball was fired from the band in the aftermath of drug-related charges. However, the group continued to perform as a trio featuring Michael Porcaro and Steve Lukather.

Toto released Isolation despite the turmoil. It was not as well-liked as IV. However, the band still had a successful chart-topping album in 1992 with Kingdom of Desire. This album marked the end of the original Toto lineup and was the first to feature the new singer, Simon Phillips.

David Paich's keyboard skills were as well more refined, more precise, and less derivative on previous efforts.

After touring to promote their album, the band recorded an Amsterdam live show that was released on Eagle Records as a 2-CD set titled Falling In Between. The studio album came out just a few months later and the group embarked on an extensive world tour to promote the album. In this time keyboardist Greg Phillinganes filled in for Paich and bassist David Hungate left the group to spend more time with his family.

In 1998, Paich & Lukather began looking through old tapes and demos to discover songs that hadn't been recorded prior to. It was completed as a double album titled Then And Now in 2001. It was the band's first album that did not contain a single song titled "A". The album also contained a previously unreleased track "Kari-Anne".

By 2003, Toto had begun to decline in popularity. The fourth album, Old Is New, was a commercial failure, and singer Williams was suffering from a serious laryngitis condition which limited his singing capabilities. Hungate also returned to Nashville and Leland Sklar's drumming was replaced by Shem Von Schroeck.

Downes along with the other original members of Asia - Wetton, Palmer, and Howe--convened a meeting in England in early 2006 to discuss the possibility of reforming the group. The lineup, which was minus Howe (who was working with Yes at the time) was eventually referred to as Toto XIV and toured extensively.

In 2010, the band reunited for another reunion tour with a slightly different line-up, including guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather, drummer John Pierce, bassist Shannon Forrest, and multi-instrumentalists Warren Ham and Dominique Taplin.
