Why We Do We Love Item Upgrading And You Should Too
World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
The item upgrade lets players increase the gear rating of an item up 700 points, and then add a bonus. Items can be upgraded if they are in your inventory and you decide to take them to the kiln.
Certain items are worth upgrading due to their distinctive stats. (For instance an excellently rolled breakpoint armor used in melee PvP). Other items, like weapons don't really change after an upgrade and therefore aren't worth the cost.
Weapons
Upgrades to weapons can improve their numerical stats, such as attack damage, crit chance and PvE/PvP damage. They also have a flat bonus that increases the damage they deal per second. Many weapons also come with an unaffected bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are equipped in a unit. This bonus can sometimes be greater than the damage a weapon upgrade alone can cause.
A weapon's upgrade costs depend on the rarity of the weapon and its current level. For instance, an upgrade item to a +2 weapon requires two standard Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade a weapon will continue to rise until it requires the higher level of Smithing Stones, at which the number will be reset to one.
Upgraded weapons can also alter their base stats. While this is generally beneficial however, it could have negative consequences as well. For items that are only used in a specific build (Whistant's shield for FB Sorcs, for example) upgrading them can render them unusable unless you happen to have an extremely fortunate roll.
The ability to upgrade armor items to increase their performance. This will increase the defense of a chest or helm, while belts and gloves will increase their required strength and agility. Armor also offers a reroll option for its Enhanced Defense%, meaning that it may roll back to a lower number.
The upgrade template for a weapon will display the new stats that it will gain upon upgrading in addition to their respective values. This means that an upgrade from an 8 attack-damage sword to an 11 attack-damage sword will result in a weapon receiving 3% of attack damage. The 3% difference does not mean that the weapon will hit 3 times less, as it is an absolute number.
A weapon can also be rerolled using the green button with arrows that circle in the menu for items. This will roll the item upgrader kit and alter its stats however, it will not reset the weapon's level or tie it to the account status.
Armor
A few upgrades to your armor can make a huge difference to your survival. Certain sets can offer massive improvements in the resistance to curses, poisons, fire, and magic. This makes it easier to navigate difficult terrains. In general, the greater defense you have on your character, the greater health you can gain from each point. Therefore, it is recommended to upgrade your armor.
To upgrade your armor, head to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four of them and each one requires you to complete a unique side quest that involves the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed your main quest and the associated fountains, you'll be able to talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the armor upgrade menu.
Each piece of armor can be upgraded up to three levels and the amount of material and Rupees required to complete each level will differ. In general, you're looking at anything from three to five Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees for the initial upgrade, and then anywhere from five Rubies and ten Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, for example, can be upgraded to a 5 defense rating, which allows you to remain competitive in cold environments with a lot of adversaries. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other hand, can be upgraded as high as +20 defense to ensure you're able to withstand a rout with friends.
You can't upgrade armor the same as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior it is best to focus on upgrading your armor to increase physical power or spell power. You should also save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor you will still be wearing at the end of the story, like the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you wear in the final boss fight The Monter Parts Merchant Mask.
You can also get some perks for your armor by giving the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. It is generally recommended to save these upgrades to the weapon that you'll use to beat the game. For example, the Longsword or Battleaxe. It's nevertheless beneficial to have a few upgrades to the chest armor and helmets to allow you to get around a few monsters.
Potions
Potions are substances in bottles that, when consumed provide the user with the illusion of status for a few minutes. There are five kinds of potions, each with different effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded, enhancing their level of effect. You can also enhance the effects of certain potions by including glowstone dust and redstone.
Upgrades to potion require a certain amount of XP. This can be earned by crafting them on a craft table or by placing them in the Alchemist chest. The cost of upgrading varies based on the type of potion used and the item's rarity as well as Mark Level.
To upgrade a potion simply right-click on it in your inventory. Select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open a GUI which allows you to select the potion you would like to upgrade and the amount of experience they will provide when upgraded. Upgrading potions can be done in batches of up to five at a single time, and the XP they earn will be added to your current XP total.
Once a poton is upgraded in quality, it will not deteriorate in the event that you take it out again or break the bottle within the container it is stored. You can also rename the potion by clicking it in your inventory.
Version 1.7.2 brought a few changes to the mechanics of potions. For instance the splash potions now have the duration of 0.08 seconds (this is not the equivalent of 22.5 seconds displayed on the hover display of the item upgrader). The potion table is constructed from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. It can now be used in both Survival and Bedrock. Contrary to Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions can't be used in cauldrons. The same applies to using a potion in the cauldron that is filled. This will drain the potion and refill the bottle.
Finally, there are lingering potions that are made with dragon breath and splash potions. In the same way, a lingering potion' effect is extended by adding redstone to it. The table of potion ingredients is now laid out more in line with the Java Edition, and new potions were added such as the potion of leaping and the decomposition potion, and turtle master potions.
Trinkets
A trinket could be an ornament that is small and inexpensive or piece of jewelry. It can also refer to a piece of art or a decoration that serves a purpose, but is not particularly important like a tiny thimble. In certain traditions, trinkets are used to signify affection or friendship, particularly between family members.
In addition to armor, weapons, and potions, players are able to upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be made by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Unlike other item upgrades trinkets are able to be swapped out at will without losing their stats.
Upgrade vendors are located at the capitals of each zone and in some cases in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased with gold, tokens, or fragments from trinkets that are rare.
The upgrade of a trinket can be an economical alternative to buying a new one. One can upgrade a trinket for as little 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same level of base as the old trinket, but it also comes with an additional bonus of 1% upgrade.
Trinkets can be re-upgraded once they are no longer useful and allows players to increase their power and worth over time. They can be traded between players, making them an alternative to gold.
In general players should upgrade their most important items first. This usually means the best-in-slot items for their class, followed by their secondaries and then other gear items that they won't replace in the near future (for example rings or cloaks). Players should also take into consideration their class's preferred stats when deciding which items to upgrade. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats to a tank player and they want to upgrade their chest, helm, and shoulders.
After they've become unusable trinkets are able to be upgraded to a higher level. The new trinket comes with an additional 1percent bonus. However, a re-upgrade is likely to ruin the previous trinket, unless it is saved using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an additional salvage tool of higher quality. Upgrades to trinkets are more expensive than other upgrades but still cheaper than buying a new one.
